Is the file uploaded?
No — digital PDFs are parsed in your browser, and scanned pages are OCR'd on-device too. A page image is sent to cloud OCR only if it cannot be read on-device AND you explicitly approve sending it.
How accurate is it?
Each conversion runs a balance reconciliation and flags any row that does not tie out, so you can fix it before exporting.
Can I edit before downloading?
Yes. The preview grid is fully editable and your edits flow into the downloaded file.
